Zerotier (Virtual Networks)
#1
It's pretty handy.

All the devices you install it on can see each other (over the internet) as if they were local. When I'm at work, my phone sees all the broadcast stuff running at my house like airdrop, the plex server...

What else would be cool to try?

You could install it inside a container with a little effort, but I think it makes more sense usually to run on the host.

Here is the setup overview:
Make my.zerotier.com account
Create Network there
Copy Network ID

Install zerotier-one on devices
Tell devices to join ${networkId}

Go back to my.zerotier.com and check "Auth" on the newly joined devices
Assign them IP addresses (use the auto assign feature)
